The Secret to Setting Goals That Actually Stick 📌


Hey Reader,

You know what's frustrating? Setting a goal, feeling super motivated… and then somehow, a few weeks later, it's gone.

I used to think I just wasn't disciplined enough. But the real problem? Most goal-setting systems don't work for how our brains actually function.

Here's the secret I discovered (including some insights and admissions from my own life)

Forget yearly goals. Focus on 90-day progress. Long-term goals feel too abstract—break them into quarterly steps.
Of course, I set my annual goals and plan out my year, but then I quickly forget about it all and focus ONLY on my quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily steps. When the new quarter rolls around, I review and adjust.

Make it a habit, not a wish. A goal without a system is just a dream. Attach small daily/weekly actions to your routine. I am using the "Eat the Frog" productivity method to make progress each day.

Give yourself permission to adjust. Life happens. Instead of quitting, shift your strategy and keep moving forward. I haven't been as consistent with posting on Instagram as I set out to be. Yes, at first I was really hard on myself, but ultimately, I realized that I need to focus on other things more urgently right now.

Find an accountability partner who keeps you motivated and on track. I've recently banded together with two fabulous other women in my network to stay healthy and consistent with water intake and meals. And maybe this will even help me move more. I am already so motivated to keep up. (takes a big sip from her moringa leaf tea to stay hydrated)

This simple shift changed everything for me. Now, goals don't just sit in my planner; they happen.
